TruJet - New Regional Airline

Hyderabad based new regional airline ‪‎TruJet‬'s first ATR 72-500 | 9M-TAG aircraft landed yesterday evening around 5pm at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) Hyderabad from Malaysia.


TruJet, formerly known as Turbo Megha Airways, is a regional airline based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.The airline received approval from the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) to start scheduled air services in July 2014 and is being promoted by Vankayalapati Umesh and Ram Charan. The airline is a subsidiary of Turbo Aviation, an aircraft maintenance and ground-handling services company based in Hyderabad.

Turbo Megha has identified 18 tier-II city airports in South India that it will begin operations to, including those at Vijayawada, Vizag, Tirupati, Rajahmundry, Kadapa, Coimbatore, Tuticorin and Salem.

The company has permission from the Indian Government to import two ATR aircraft in order to qualify for an air operator’s permit.
