Air India's Nagpur MRO

Finally Air India has its new MRO facility at "The Orange city" - Nagpur

The trial run of newly constructed 3.4 kms. long taxiway and the MRO unit constructed by Boeing for Air India was successfully conducted today. The longest aircraft of Air India's Boeing 777-300ER | VT-ALU "Odisha" landed on Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport today at 12:25 pm and then it was towed by a special tractor to the MRO using the newly constructed taxiway by MADC.





The MRO is constructed by Boeing and handed over to AirIndia. The fully owned subsidiary of AirIndia, Air India Engineering Services Ltd. has been given responsibility to run the MRO. This MRO will cater to both wide body and narrow body aircrafts. It will be targeting business in India as well as in foreign countries within reach of 5 hours air distance from Nagpur.
