Bigger than a Boeing 747 and Airbus A380, longer and heavier than the Hughes H-4 “Spruce Goose”, The Antonov An-225 Mriya is a strategic airlift cargo aircraft developed by the Antonov Design Bureau in the Ukraine and stands as the largest aircraft in the world. 

Antonov An-225 Mriya | UR-82060 flight ADB3610 carrying generator To Perth,Australia making a refuel & crew rest stop in India at RGIA Hyderabad on 13th May. 

It landed at Rajiv Gandhi Int'l Airport,Hyderabad - VOHS/HYD at 12:10AM on 13 May 2016!

Did You Know ?The largest single piece of airlifted cargo ever recorded was on an Antonov An-225. A generator for a gas power plant in Armenia was 53.2 feet long, 14 feet wide and weighed 189.1 tonne.

About Antonov An-225 Mriya (Dream) - 

The aircraft's maximum take-off weight is 640 tonnes.

Designed in the mid-1980s to carry the Soviet reusable space shuttle Buran, it now is dedicated to cargo and flies about twice a month.

Compared to the latest Boeing 747, it is 8m longer and its wingspan is 20m wider. Its wing area is twice that of the 747.

The An-225 has 34 computers. Flight crew is made up of the captain, first officer, navigator, chief flight engineer, flight engineer of on-board equipment and radio operator.
